Four Ways to Stay Well
When it comes to preventing illness, four relatively simple things can make a big difference.
- Get a flu shot. Its best given as soon as it becomes available in our area. You will need a new flu shot each year because strains of the illness can change.
- Wash your hands often. Hand to Hand contact with an infected person or contact with an item that has been contaminated with germs spreads illness. Keeping your hands clean helps reduce germ transmission.
- Avoid smoking and others' smoke. Smoke damages your lungs and makes it easier for viruses to cause infections.
- Practice health habits. Eat nutritious food, drink lots of liquids and get plenty of sleep and exercise.
